There are quite a few LLM sessions at #NICAR26 as you might imagine, some good some not, and they’ve clarified what bothers me: chatbots are AI in the same way 2015 hoverboards were Back to the Future hoverboards. The branding makes promises the tech can’t keep but in this case it’s not as obvious.
